Crossroads Christian Center

Welcome!

Greetings in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ,

Great things are happening at Crossroads Christian Center! When the heart of a Church desires to give love, prayer support, and money to missionaries around the world, God is not only pleased, but He will not be outdone. The pledges for this year were tenfold, praise the LORD. With anticipation and excitement, I look forward to see what God has planned in growing this Church in San Bruno.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." We can see from this scripture that our faith in Jesus Christ is extremely important and the only way to bring delight to our heavenly Father. This being the case, how's your faith? By what standard do you evaluate your faith? Do you know what the Bible teaches regarding true faith? Over the next few months on Sunday mornings it is our goal to investigate what James, the half brother of Jesus, instructed the Jewish Christians of his day about true, life altering faith. Furthermore, we will examine how his teaching applies to Christians today.

Come and increase grow in faith so that you will obtain the promises of God. Amen!

Our Intercessor

Read Psalms 107:1–43; 126:1–6

Carl was looking for a new job, because he wanted a greater challenge and he was willing to relocate. He applied to numerous companies in an area where he thought he wanted to live. He received some inquiries, but with no success. He became discouraged, began to sulk, but then he began to pray for guidance. Another company, he had forgotten about, came to mind. He applied, and to his surprise, he received a phone call from them and they flew him to an interview. They not only hired him, but also paid for his relocation costs. Once there, he became involved in a church he came to love and made many Christian friends, including the woman he eventually married.

Carl initially tried to take everything in his own hands to work toward his goal, becoming weary and frustrated. But a nudge from the Holy Spirit, after he took the time to pray, put him on the right road and to opportunities he never imagined.

We try to work hard to orchestrate our life and forget that God has a plan that is far better than we realized (Psalm 107:7). He works in our behalf to put us in the place He knows will bring us to a closer relationship with Him.

Thought for Today: God is very aware of our circum
stances and He is working on our behalf.
